Feeling Guilty- re:Shane MacGowan

Although some of us know Shane MacGowan and his work (along with Nick Cave), I realize others don't. Well, I started feeling guilty that some peoples' only exposure to Mr. MacGowan is through the recently posted drunken link (That's if there is really anyone out there, Helloooo?). Anyway, I've gotta post a clip of Shane, semi-sober, doing his thing with Nick Cave. Here they are dueting on "What A Wonderful World."

Once again a hat-tip to Russ

Classic moment in time here. I recall this one. Man, Mr. Depp's got some cool-ass friends.

SIDEBAR: Did you know Johnny scored Shane a small role of a Bard in "The Libertine"? Well, the day that turd hit the rental shelves (sorry if you saw it and dug it), I rushed out to grab it... only to discover Shane had evidently wound up on the cutting room floor. Sucked. At least the film was dedicated to Dr. H. S. Thompson (although THAT even felt more like an afterthought).

If Russ can find the clip of Shane and Sinead dueting on "Haunted", you might wanna post that, too. She tried to "save" the boy, y'know, in the 90's when she was studying to be a priest. He moved in with her for a spat and everything. Then he fell down the stairs too many times, wound up in a wheelchair, and she rolled him to the curb.

Max, Did Russ ever forward you that picture I'd found of Shane singing in a wheelchair? I wonder if that was post-Sinead. Although, with his equilibrium he may be in and out of one of those things.
